Just like giving birth, your body is designed to nurse your baby. As a pregnant woman your body is already producing colostrum, the liquid gold designed specifically for your baby. Breastfeeding comes very naturally to most women, however, in the beginning it is always a comfort to have support as questions and sometimes challenges arise.
I am a Certified Lactation Educator and Counselor and as your Doula I am available to you for lactation support.
Once your baby is born we will immediately put the baby on your chest. Newborn babies are typically very alert during the first hour after birth so this is a wonderful time to initiate breastfeeding before everyone gets some much needed rest.
For any support outside of our doula contracted time my fee is $35/hour.
